…what I am confident in, is the Song [of Songs] is intended to work on both levels. It’s a “Yay and Amen” to human love, and it’s a “Yay and Amen” to divine and human love, and so, to read it well, we’ve got to lean in to this biblical wisdom, both/and. The “Yes” and also the “You’ve heard it said, but I say…” and in that conversation, is when we’ll discern together God’s direction of an idea for good love.
